Fallout 3 100%
For our second game it is time to take it up a level. An RPG that can take many hours. I started with a plan to do three playthroughs but that fantasy ended very quickly. Lets find out why.
Made a character, mother died, learned about some water and had a tenth birthday. Simple!
I normally skip the G.O.A.T. But didn’t want to risk skipping the achievement. It said I was management material.
The end of the tutorial, we exit Vault 101 with a missing father and some good karma. Remember to grab the Medicine Bobble head before you leave.
We arrive at megaton and disarm the big bomb in the centre of town. We do this to be nice, but more importantly for a house and the Strength bobble head.
We reach level 8 while completing the wasteland survival guide, in an old library. This was the moment I decided I couldn’t do three playthroughs.
Was going to be doing some save manipulation so thought would give a brotherhood member a explosive surprise.
Just before levelling, save and head to Moriarty Saloon. Click his PC until your Karma Lowers.
Once at the right Karma go level up and get three Achievements done in a few minutes.
Finished the Wasteland Survival Guide. Got a lot of items, perks and bobbleheads. Worthwhile quest!
In my quest for Bobble Heads I stubbled across some superhumans. They both died as I wanted their costumes.
This one just will happen over time.
Getting Bobble Heads give you special points, which is very useful. You will also come across great weapons and armour along the way.
Level 14 while out exploring the wastes.
Same as last time
Moriarty’s PC is very sensitive.
Another simple one.
Had to head to Paradise Falls to get a Bobble Head. Might as well save some children. Will help us much later on.
Lucy West, sends us to make sure her family is ok. They aren’t and there are Vampires.
Big Flamethrowing Ant. Destroy them all. They can not be allowed to exist!
An old friend from Fallout 1 and 2 is stuck and needs a trim. Just don’t use fire.
Stumbled on to the main quest while out Bobble Head hunting. Lets meet THREE DOG! BOW WOW!
Sierra Petrovita has a craving and we are going to provide. You will find the blue stuff all over the place.
Agatha wants to provide the waste with music. we just have to dodge some deathclaws to do it.
As we are levelling more, we need the ghoul mask. So everyone in Tenpenny Tower has to go, one way or another.
The foundation for Fallout 4 starts here. Its a fun quest, good moral choice, good investigation.
One of the few quests where you specials actually have an effect. I taught the town to sneak.
Should have done this sooner. Really could have used some music when looking for those Bobble Heads.
Woop! We made it to the games original level cap and we have not really started the main quest line.
Again
We click the Karma PC a lot.
Time to go full Nicolas Cage. This quest has fun robots.
We are starting the DLC’s as most trap you. We want to be in the main world when we reach level 30 so we can manipulate the computer. Get DLC done early.
Anchorage has you killing a lot of humans. Easy to get this.
This is a strange DLC, mostly all combat. But spiced up by running your own squad.
Most of my squad die quite a bit.
Best part of this DLC is the reward at the end. Chinese Stealth Suit and Power Armor that never degrades. Will be using these the rest of the game.
Next DLC and its probably my second favourite. Good moral question, fun exploration and rewards. It also takes away all your items and makes you scavenge to gain power. its great.
I know where all these Ingots are. I cant remember a single Math lesson from school. But I can remember where all 100 ingots are. Not sure how that makes me feel.
Can Bethesda just make another arena in its games. They did it in oblivion, but every other game fails to deliver.
I am not going to say if I stole the baby or not. I don’t need judgment.
Now time for the worst DLC, some cool ideas but fails to make them work. Highlight are the characters.
We do a space walk that doesn’t have low gravity. WHY!
We end with a ship battle where you manage shield and lazars. It is hard to say if you are doing damage, the whole sequence is jank.
Note, some areas become inaccessible after the space walk. So make sure you have all recording before moving on. Would suck if you had to play this DLC twice right. Right!
Back in with the main story. Great mission, but to maintain good karma I use the override. But good news we found are dad, bad news he is a furry.
This is another that happens over time.
There are multiple blueprints in the game, just be on the lookout for junk you might need. Last one I needed was the Deathclaw Gauntlet.
We are getting project purity back up and running. Until the shock return of the Enclave!!! Oh yer and your dad dies.
We meet the east coast brotherhood of steel and head out to find a G.E.C.K.
Its strange why there are only two sentient super mutants in the game. Fawkes is great, just wish there where a few more.
Before blowing up John Henry Eden in Raven Rock. Make sure to get the second Bobble Head that can be missed. For me that was the last one I needed.
Travelled to Underworld for a few quests. Met a guy who wanted me to kill some people. Had already killed all but one, was a very quick quest.
During my murder quest I found enough locations to take me over the line.
Called back to vault 101, a few endings to this quest. All of them kick you out. How ungrateful!
Met Reilly in underworld, sent of to save her rangers. Fun quest, but being high level means a lot of super mutant overlords.
We had already killed a couple, just went out of our way to clean them up.
Using the power of save manipulation we did some work for the slavers. I then murdered them all to feel better about myself.
Again to repent for giving up my morals for an Achievement. I helped some ex slaves find a home.
Should have got this one sooner. If you go to Jefferson Memorial before speaking with Madison Lee for the first time, the achievement wont pop. Luckily had an old save.
Went on a trips to places contain super mutants and made it to level 30. Overlords give a ton of EXP.
Final time clicking the disappointed PC.
All levelling achievements now completed.
Returned to the Brotherhood after the events of Raven Rock and start the final story mission.
Storming the Jefferson Memorial with a giant freedom loving robot. Its all great until you realise this game doesn’t really have a main antagonist. We have beat the main game!
Now on to a strange DLC. its mostly an excuse to keep us alive after the main game. It is a lot of combat.
Odd tangent mission where we travel to get a tesla coil to get the DLC’s unique weapon.
At least this DLC is quick. It did crash twice though not sure why. Best thing about it is getting some ammo for the Alien Blaster.
On to the final and my favourite DLC. Got all of the locations out the way first. That way we can fast travel and get to objectives quick.
I am a big fan of Desmond, good ghoul. Not a fan that all enemy’s having new weapons meaning it is hard to keep your other weapons maintained.
Really fun quest, love the trippy walk through the bog. I am so surprised our character is fine after. That scar is huge.
Final mission of the DLC’s main story, it is a good time. Plus have a bunch of fun side stuff left in Point Lookout.
For the final achievement, Knock Knock in Little Lamplight can be used to grind this out very quickly.
This whole process took about a week and I had a great time. Nothing really difficult and as long as your happy to save scum, you can do it all in one playthrough.
The List
The list always is growing and as I am putting so much time into these games. They should be added to the list.
